Hosted by Fame Preservation Group, Inc, the Fame Preservation Group Barbecue Festival is a fun Summer event
Join Fame Preservation Group at Stars and Bars Tavern in Salisbury, NC on August 22nd, 2026, to show your Southern Heritage loud and proud amidst local vendors, live entertainment, various different public speakers, and of course, our signature Carolina Style Southern Barbecue freshly served and cooked by the venue staff who help host our festival.
Stars and Bars Tavern and is a unique Dixie Bar that has wall to wall flags of the Confederacy decking out their establishment including one of our original organization flags that shows original design features no longer present on our current organization's flag. That's history in itself which shows character for our fifth annual event come this August.
Carolina Style Barbecue
Our signature Boston Butt shoulders make any Southern Barbecue a treat added with our fixing's including baked beans, mac n' cheese, coleslaw, and rolls for attendees sold at $10.00 a plate plus some sweet banana pudding.
Live Entertainment
Come see Rick Thomas play live for our festival goers as he covers various different Southern Rock and Modern walks of music provided to our great audience to keep the blood pumping and our Confederate hearts pounding.
